Product information

Macspred Simazine 900DF herbicide is a long acting pre-emergent herbicide which kills certain annual broad leaf and perennial weeds by absorption through the root system. It works best when applied to bare moist soil. If weeds are present at spraying then a knockdown herbicide such as Glymac 360 should be applied.

Mixing Rates and Coverage

At typical use rates 500g of Simazine 900DF herbicide treats approximately
Handgun/Knapsack - mixes between to 50 -100 lt of spray mix

Boom spray -
Short residual - 3 months - treats up to 1000 square metres (0.1 Ha)
Long residual - 6-9 months approx. 350 square meters

Where to Use

Provides long residual control in Winter rainfall areas. Apply to bare moist ground in the following situations:-

Commercial and industrial areas
Driveways
Fence lines and firebreaks
Storage yards
Forestry Including farm tree plantations pre- and post- planting (refer to the product label for further information on tree species)
Other situations as listed on the product label

Weeds Controlled

Pre-emergence control of many annual and some perennial grasses and broadleaved weed as listed on the label

Withholding Periods/Stock Restrictions

As this will depend on the specific situation of use Refer to the product label to determine any withholding restrictions.

If using for fence lines or firebreaks in Sub Clover pastures the following restrictions will apply:- DO NOT GRAZE FOR 14 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION. DO NOT CUT FOR STOCK FOOD FOR 21 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION
