Weed library - Khaki Weed (Alternanthera pungens)


Khaki weed is a creeping perennial plant which grows in a prostrate manner.

The leaves are oval in shape ranging from 0.5-5cm long.

The flowers are white and form into a sharp burr like structure which contains the plants seeds.

Control Tips


  • Spray young, actively growing plants
  • For Hand Gun Spraying: Spray to thoroughly wet all the foliage including the stems and crown of the plant but not to cause run off

  • DO NOT spray when the plant is stressed (i.e. Drought, physical damage, insect damage etc)
