Weed library - Sensitive Weed - Common (Mimosa pudica)

Sensitive weed is a perennial plant which grows low, sprawling along the ground.

It produces dark green leaves that are divided into one or more pairs of segments near the end of the leaf's stalk. Each segment is divided into 10-25 pairs of leaflets.

The leaflets are sensitive to touch and will close up when disturbed or injured

Sensitive weed produces flowers which are pale pink or purple pink in fluffy balls, about 1 cm across.
