Control Tips

Gusto Woody and Noxious Weed Herbicide is registered to control Blackberry

When using Gusto in a Hand Gun Application:

  • Spray actively growing plants which are in the flowering to fruiting phase (generally between December and March)
  • When controlling regrowth, allow 1 meter plus of growth to ensure there is adequate leaf area to absorb the herbicide, before spraying
  • Spray to thoroughly wet the crown, canes and leaves of the plant but not to cause run off

  • DO NOT spray if the leaves are dropping
  • DO NOT spray when the plant is stressed (i.e. Drought, physical damage, insect damage, frost, previous herbicide application)
